Day 1

Arrival in Guwahati - Shillong (2 nights)

Day 2

Shillong

  • Visit Shillong Peak for panoramic views of the city.
  • Explore Elephant Falls and the Don Bosco Museum.
  • Stroll around Police Bazar for shopping and local cuisine.
Day 3

Shillong - Tezpur (1 night)

  • Travel to Tezpur (approximately 6-7 hours drive).
  • Visit Agnigarh Hill for scenic views of the Brahmaputra River.
Day 4

Tezpur - Dirang (1 night)

  • Proceed to Dirang (approximately 6-7 hours drive).
  • En route, you might explore Orchid Research Centre at Tipi.
Day 5

Dirang - Tawang (2 nights)

  • Head to Tawang (approximately 6-7 hours drive), known for its Buddhist monasteries.
  • Visit Sela Pass en route if road conditions permit.
  • Check-in at your hotel in Tawang.
Day 6

Tawang

  • Visit Tawang Monastery, the largest in India, and the war memorial.
  • Explore Shonga-tser Lake.
  • Optionally, visit Bum La Pass (subject to permits and weather conditions).
Day 7

Tawang - Bomdila (1 night)

  • Drive to Bomdila (approximately 6-7 hours drive).
  • Explore the town known for its natural beauty and monasteries.
Day 8

Bomdila - Guwahati (1 night)

  • Head towards Guwahati (approximately 8-9 hours drive).
  • Visit Kamakhya Temple, Umananda Temple, and enjoy a sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra River.
Day 9

Departure

  • Depending on your departure time, you may have some free time in Guwahati for last-minute shopping or sightseeing.
  • Depart from Guwahati for your onward journey.
